REFUND POLICY

Item is Damaged/ Faulty or wrong

I just got my order and something is damaged/faulty/wrong. What do I do?

Please email us about any damaged, faulty or wrong products within 3 days of receiving the order, with the information including your full name, for replacement or refund at our discretion

  •  Please upload a clear image of the damaged/faulty/wrong item(s) and make sure you tell us your order number 
  •  Our Customer Service team will review your refund/ replacement application
    •  Please allow 5 business days for a response from our Customer Service team confirming your refund and/or next steps

 

Missing an item

I received part of my order. When am I getting the rest?

Your order may arrive in multiple packages. Detailed tracking information will be emailed to you when your order is dispatched. Please allow up to 4 business days from placing your order, for the shipping details to be confirmed by email.

 

Can I return an item if I change my mind?

On standard items that are unused and in their original packaging we accept change of mind returns. Once the goods are received back at our premises we will notify you of next steps including the refund amount which will be minus shipping and banking fees. On custom orders or items that are cut to your specified length we do not accept returns or provide refunds unless the item is faulty. Please email our customer service team to make arrangements.

 

When will I receive my refund?

Depending on your bank, it can take up to 5 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

 

How will I be refunded?

Your refund will be issued using your original payment method.

For items purchased online with buy now, pay later service providers, a refund will be processed and your buy now, pay later service provider will be advised. Your payment plan will be adjusted to reflect the new total order value.

 

 

What does my Refund Status mean?

  • Refund initiated – refund has been triggered
  • In progress – refund is currently being processed
  • Released – refund has been released. Any follow up should be with the customer’s bank.

 

Are any items excluded from the Returns Policy?

On custom orders or items that are cut to your specified length we do not accept returns or provide refunds unless the item is faulty. Please email our customer service team to make arrangements.

SHIPPING POLICY

How we deliver

What are your delivery timeframes?

Once you have received your shipping notification, please allow:

  • Metro delivery within 3-5 business days
  • Regional delivery within 7-10 business days
  • Remote delivery within 14-20 business days

Place your orders by the 13th December for metro customers and by 10th December for regional customers to receive Christmas delivery in time.

For NSW customers, place your Christmas orders by 8th of December to receive your delivery in time. 

Place your Click & Collect order by 12 pm on 22nd December to pick it up in time for Christmas.

Orders for South Australia - Please note, as we are shipping your order interstate, please allow up to 5 days to process your order from your purchase date.

Please note, your order may arrive in multiple packages from multiple carriers. Tracking information will be emailed to you upon dispatch.

Please allow up to 3 days to process your order. Once your order is shipped you will receive an email with tracking information. It can take up to 48 hours after you receive your shipping notification for your tracking details to become active with the courier.

We always strive to ensure on-time delivery, but there may be instances when packages may be delivered past the estimated date. For example, this may occur with split orders where we dispatch the order from multiple stores in multiple shipments to ensure that the order is delivered in full.


Who will deliver my order?

We use several carriers to deliver our online orders. Depending on your order, it will be shipped with one or more of the below carriers.

Can I change my delivery address after my order has been placed?

Usually no, you can’t change your delivery address once your order has been placed, However we do try to be as accommodating as possible. if your communication is received and confirmed before your order is shipped we may be able to change delivery addresses. 

Once you receive your shipping confirmation email, it is too late to change your delivery address.

If your order can’t be delivered it will be returned to our store. A refund will then be processed and takes 5-7 business days to be processed back into your account. If you still want to purchase the items you can order online again or buy in store.


What is authority to leave?

When you give authority to leave, you’re allowing our carriers to leave the package unattended at your address without a signature.
Please note:

  •  If the carrier believes the location is not secure, they will not leave the package unattended
  •  If you opt to leave your order unattended, Hytec Australia will not be responsible for any lost or stolen packages

I gave authority to leave, but the carrier didn’t leave my package. Why?

Safely delivering your package is our carriers’ priority. If the carrier believes the location is not secure, they will not leave the package unattended.


What if I’m not home when my order arrives?

If you provide authority to leave during checkout, you’re allowing our carriers to leave the package unattended at your address without a signature.

  •  If the carrier believes the location is not secure, they will not leave the items unattended

If you don’t provide authority to leave, our carriers will leave a note directing you with next steps.

  •  For Australia Post deliveries, your package will be left at a nearby collection point (e.g. pharmacy, newsagent or post office)
  •  For Allied Express deliveries, you will be contacted by either Allied Express or Kmart to arrange redelivery

Will I have to sign for my delivery?

If you provide authority to leave during checkout, you will not be required to sign for your delivery.

If you don’t provide authority to leave, you may be required to sign for your delivery.


I didn’t pick up my package from the collection point, and it’s been returned to Hytec Australia. What happens now?

Once the package is returned to our store, we will be in contact to rearrange delivery which will need to be paid again


The carrier has not delivered my order due to access issues to my address. Why has this happened when your website allowed me to use that address in the checkout?

In rare cases we may not be able to deliver to certain addresses that our carriers deem to be unsafe, inaccessible or in certain remote areas; e.g. narrow dirt roads, steep driveways etc. In these instances, our carriers are often not aware of the issue until they attempt the delivery.

We acknowledge that failed deliveries are disappointing for our customers and ask that if you do live in a location which is difficult to access, please use the delivery address of a local post office or news agency to collect your order from.

2. Terms of Product Purchase

The Agreement

In addition to the Terms of Use, these terms and conditions ("the Purchase Terms") set out the additional terms and conditions under which you may purchase from Hytec Australia products appearing on this website. By completing the customer application process and purchasing products from this website, an agreement exists between you and Hytec Australia once Hytec Australia accepts an order. Each accepted order is a separate agreement.

Customer Application

You must complete the customer application process before placing any orders. You warrant that all information and data provided by you is accurate, complete and up to date. You will promptly notify Hytec Australia if there is any change to this information or data. You must take responsibility for the safekeeping of your username and password, as you are liable if an unauthorized person uses your username and password.

Orders

You place an order with Hytec Australia by selecting products and pressing the "purchase now" button on the checkout page. Hytec Australia reserves the right to accept or reject an order for any reason including without limitation, unavailability of product; an error in the price, image or the product description; or error in your order. Orders are deemed received by Hytec Australia at the time of successful transmission of the order, and you will thereafter be unable to cancel the order. Orders are deemed accepted by Hytec Australia by Hytec Australia acknowledging such order or failing to reject such order within 14 days. We only accept orders from designated countries as outlined in our Shipping Policies. 

Product Availability

Hytec Australia uses its best endeavours to ensure products ordered are available for delivery, and in most cases will notify you where a product is unavailable prior to you completing your order. However you acknowledge that in some cases this is not possible and Hytec Australia may need to reject an order you have placed for a product where Hytec Australia establishes that it is actually unavailable for delivery. In such cases Hytec Australia will refund in full all amounts you paid in respect of such unavailable product. Hytec Australia can provide rainchecks for some products ordered online, and where permitted by law reserves the right to limit the sale of products to reasonable or normal household quantities.

Payment

You must pay for your products purchased on this website at the time of placing an order. We accept Paypal and all major credit cards including Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club and Visa. Products may also be purchased using Afterpay, subject to Afterpay’s terms www.afterpay.com/terms.

Hytec Australia may vary the prices on this website at any time, and prices are subject to change until you have paid for the products in full. Product availability and product prices may vary between Hytec Australia's retail store and those found on this website.

Delivery

Delivery terms included delivery areas, delivery costs and estimated delivery times are contained in the Delivery Policy and is expressly incorporated in these Purchase Terms. Please note that to purchase products, your delivery address must be within a suburb where Hytec Australia provides delivery. Orders will not be processed for delivery to an address in a suburb not in Hytec Australia's delivery area. Risk in the products passes to you upon delivery to your nominated delivery address, and title passes upon payment for the products in full.

Returns

Return claims (including for replacement products, refunds or credits) are detailed in The Returns Policy and is expressly incorporated in these Purchase Terms. Please refer to this policy to determine your entitlement to a return, and the process that you need to follow.
